MT Højgaard is probably most known for its activities in Denmark. But we have actually also been active abroad for many years including in Vietnam, Greenland, UK and the Maldives.

Stationed abroad

Our activities span the globe, and we have a vision that this part of our business should be even greater.

Around 2,000 of our staff are employed outside Denmark, of whom about 110 are Danish staff stationed abroad. We primarily station project managers, contract managers and area managers. An employee is stationed abroad for a minimum of six months, and on average 1-2 years.

We can offer you an international career either on one of our projects abroad or in Denmark in that part of our business which deals with our foreign activities.

Your skills

In addition to good language skills, being stationed abroad requires that you are willing to adapt and do things differently than you are used to – especially at the social level. It is also important that you have the desire and the ability to get on with colleagues with different cultures, languages and nationalities.

We frequently seek staff who want to be stationed abroad or want to work in an international environment in one of our offices in Denmark.
