MT Højgaard acquires Carlo Lorentzen A/S

10 June 2010

- Carlo Lorentzen A/S is perfectly suited to MT Højgaard. We would like to hold a stronger position on Zealand and at the same time Carlo Lorentzen has competent employees within trade groups and other staff groups which we need in the North of Zealand and the Øresund region, says COO Jens Nyhus, who is responsible for MT Højgaard’s construction area.

- Our two companies work in the same way and share the same basic values. For example, customer focus, quality, careful planning and profitability are focus points in both companies. We look forward to working together on new exciting projects in the area, says Jens Nyhus.

Revenue in Carlo Lorentzen A/S amounts to about DKK 175 to 200 million a year, and the company has a little more than 100 employees. The parties will not be making the acquisition price public. The acquisition takes place with effect from 1 June 2010. The acquisition does not give rise to any changes to the previously published expectations for revenues and results in 2010.

The seller of Carlo Lorentzen A/S is Carlo Lorentzen Gruppen, which also has activities within ventilation, plumbing and heating, electricity and forging work. The group was founded over 40 years ago and performs all types of new construction projects and refurbishment projects, including institutions, business headquarters and industrial property, sports facilities as well as work in connection with cultural projects.

Several of Carlo Lorentzen’s projects have been awarded the Europe Nostra award, the MURO “tile award” for brick-built constructions and have received recognition by the Hillerød Municipality for beautifully refurbished preservation-worthy construction projects.
