A practical guide to BIM in construction and infrastructure projects1 November 2016
Our book about Building Information Modeling (BIM) is updated with more practical experiences and input on effective digital collaboration between the parties involved in building and civil engineering projects.
Titled "A practical guide to BIM in construction and infrastructure projects", the book will function as a guide on how to achieve effective collaboration when working with BIM on a project. At MT Højgaard, our experiences with BIM show that we achieve the best results when BIM is involved in the entire context of the project.
Therefore we find it natural to go beyond only using BIM for the building and civil engineering processes, by considering the possible future scenarios of use for BIM-collaboration. The book provides input for the early framing of the effective digital collaboration between all parties involved in the project, which is the condition for being able to work the context of the building or civil engineering project into the model.
The book can also be used as a work of reference for the practical usage of BIM within building and civil engineering projects as well as in professional settings with BIM-coordinators and students.
