New President and CEO will lead the development of Denmark's largest construction and civil engineering company from 1 November.
In May MT Højgaard's Board of Directors decided to appoint Torben Biilmann as new President and CEO with effect from 1 November 2012. Torben Biilmann comes from a position as CEO in NCC Construction Denmark. Torben Biilmann replaces board member Jørgen Nicolajsen, who accepted the task as acting President and CEO in March 2012.
In connection with the change in management Chairman of the Board Helge Israelsen says:
- The great challenges for the industry and for MT Højgaard in recent years have resulted in a considerably reduced performance by MT Højgaard, but with a number of initiatives we are in the process of reversing this development. Torben Biilmann will now take the lead in the effort to develop our activities and make the company profitable.
- MT Højgaard is a strong a competent company with a great potential. With his deep knowledge of the industry and substantial experience Torben Biilmann is the right person to fulfil this potential.
Torben Biilmann on the new challenges:
- It is my experience that MT Højgaard delivers high quality and represents great pride in their work, which is necessary prerequisites for creating good results. Therefore I look forward to take on the challenges which MT Højgaard is facing.

From 1 November 2012 MT Højgaard's Group management will consist of President and CEO Torben Biilmann (CEO) and Chief Financial Officer Flemming Steen (CFO).
