Field season and camp management

The field season started in mid June with erection of the polar exploration camp.

The Carlsberg Fjord camp, which was established to accommodate 39 persons, has 13 sleeping tents, a kitchen tent, shower and bathroom facilities, an office tent and storage tents. Five persons were assigned to management and running of the camp.

A helicopter was on site for the entire period for support of the exploration works.

Core drilling program

The core drilling program started in mid August.

Core drilling was carried out by use of a Christensen CS10 drilling rig for approx. one month. Five NQ holes with a total length of approx. 1,000 m were drilled.

At the end of September the season finished; the whole camp was secured and locked for the winter.
