Robin Rigg Offshore Wind Farm

60 offshore foundations designed, supplied and installed for wind turbine generators. The Robin Rigg Offshore Wind Farm is located in the Solway Firth on the Scottish side of the Scottish/English border.

MT Højgaard has designed, supplied and installed the 60 offshore foundations for wind turbine generators and two subststion foundations for the Robin Rigg Offshore Wind Farm, located in the Solway Firth on the Scottish side of the Scottish/English border.

Design and fabrication works

The design and fabrication works for the foundations and substations took place during 2007, and installation of the foundations took place during 2008.

The two substations were transported to Barrow in Furness in the autumn of 2007 to be fitted with main transformers and other mechanical and electrical equipment (separate contract by Areva). Offshore installation of the completed substations took place in 2008.
