Danfoss Universe Development Park
Several buildings with differently shaped foundations: The Development Park was carried out as a partnering project and handed over in 2005.
In May 2005 MT Højgaard handed over the Danfoss Universe Development Park. The park is located next to the Danfoss headquarters. The project consisted of several buildings with differently shaped foundations, each architecturally tailored as well as and structurally constructed to the special attractions which the park offers.
In addition is the Blue Cube, which was brought back from EXPO 2000 in Hannover. The attractions in the Blue Cube are operated from a control room in the basement. The watery environment with an artificial lake, a fountain inside the building, and water flowing down the sides of the Cube, made considerable demands on the design and construction of the control room in the basement.
Partnering made the project possible
MT Højgaard carried out the project on a main contract basis. Partnering the chosen form of collaboration made the project possible as both the design phase and the construction phase went on in parallel. This late design phase was necessary in order for the park to contain the latest in technology.
