Mid Yell High School

MT Højgaard is to design and build the new Junior High School at Mid Yell, Shetland. The project includes associated ground works and demolition of the existing school.The existing Mid Yell Junior High School was built in the 1960's and has been altered and extended in that time to meet the schools changing requirements.

The Island of Yell is the second largest island in Shetland and is linked to the Shetland mainland by ferry service.

Room for 120 pupils

The school serves the children of Yell from nursery through primary and secondary education, up to the age of 16, at which time the pupils complete their High School education in Lerwick. The school is designed for a total of 120 pupils.

Rebuilding of the SMS shopping centre in Tórshavn on the Faroe Islands was carried out in a partnering collaboration. The rebuilding was realised in three stages.
