This article is written by Leonora Charlotte Malabi Eberhardt as a part of her industrial PhD project with MT Højgaard. The article investigates the use of a traditional concrete column with a concrete column designed for disassembly for subsequent reuse. The results of a life-cycle assessment emphasizes how the ongoing technological development may influence both the columns CO2-foortprint and thus also how well circular economy design concepts such as design for disassembly performs.
