The article identifies the main challenges and potentials of implementing circular economy principles within the building industry to point towards a more industry focused approach. A case study of a conventional Danish office building exemplifies how circular economy can be applied in future building projects as well as the potential environmental and economic benefits of designing the buildings concrete structure for disassembly with the purpose of reuse.
