The car park is primarily built in steel. That makes it easy to disassemble and reuse if there is a need for that in the future. It was a wish from Roskilde Municipality that we worked according to the Design For Disassembly principle. By and large, sustainability is taken into account in a lot of different parts of the project. For example we have used broken and recycled concrete and other materials from former buildings on Musicon and other places in Roskilde Municipality.

Fast progress with steel

Steel is a slim and flexible material. We can build quickly with it and see results as we go. For example, we finished the shell in three months.

The car park in Roskilde has large and tall spaces. The spaces are flexible and can easily be changed and used for other purposes than parking if a different need arises in the future. At the moment the car park has room for 240 cars and 12 motorcycles.
