Multi-Storey Car Park for the Regional Hospital in Randers
Light and airy multi-storey car park eases access for patients, relatives and staff

Built in a PPP partnership with the Central Jutland Region
The Central Jutland Region decided to have the multi-storey car park built in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), where private companies are responsible for everything from finance and design to construction, operation and maintenance. The Central Jutland Region chose a PPP team comprising DEAS (previously known as Dan-Ejendomme), DnB NOR Bank and MT Højgaard.
In a PPP project like this, the partners’ common focus on quality and sustainable solutions means that together they achieve a robust overall economy. The great advantage in being part of a PPP – both for this project in Randers and in general – is that all parties prioritise the economics over a span of years, and not just the short-term.
Built on sloping ground
The multi-storey car park has been built on an incline and, in order to optimise the area, we minimised the length of the ramps by allowing all parking decks in the building to slope by 3.5% in relation to the ground. Maximum driving comfort is therefore ensured on the ramps between the floors.
Light and airy ambiance
The building has been created using expanded metal. This ensures that the house appears partly transparent, which creates a light and airy ambiance.
