Anne H. Bjerregård is just 28 years old. In spite of that she has already had four different jobs in MT Højgaard Danmark. Today, Anne works as Financial Controller. Her work life has led to both professional challenges and dinner competitions. Here, you can get to know Anne through her own words.

Everybody is happy to get help. So of course I enjoy a job where I help my colleagues. A few years ago, I was part of implementing our new ERP system. As expert user and specialist I could teach coworkers with a lot more experience than me. It was fun to play a role in such an important task, and it feels good to share knowledge.
I’ve been here since 2016 where I started as a finance trainee. Since then I’ve also worked in the creditor and debtor department. Today my auto signature says Financial Controller, and I’ve found my niche. Outside of work I’m studying to get my diploma in business administration so my schedule is pretty tight.

A good balance
The construction and civil works industry is filled with possibilities. I’m not just saying that because I work here. I actually studied to become an engineer for a short period before I went in a different direction. This industry is filled with exiting projects, and we build buildings that make an important difference for regular people like myself. I would always recommend it to people with the same background. It’s just a fun industry.
I love finding solutions and thinking logically so I can to my job in the best way. At the same time, I like variation. All of this is fulfilled in MT Højgaard Danmark. Today I work with financial controlling and accounting. Sometimes there are mistakes in the accounting, and it is my job to analyze it and create a better flow. It’s a pretty satisfying job.
Network for young employees and dinner parties
There’s a lot going on socially both inside and outside of work. We’ve had competitive dinner parties in the financial department, and I’m a part of the network for young employees where colleagues from the entire company under 35 meet. We have a summer party, bars on Fridays, a Christmas party, culture days, and Counterstrike tournaments. So, if you want to meet colleagues in other settings there’s plenty of opportunities. The latest initiative is our financial network where colleagues from finance and business controlling meet.
MT Højgaard Danmark is a large company. That means I can get a more specialized job than if I was in a smaller company. Not that one thing is better than the other, but I’ve found the right place for me, and that’s great.
