We have been delievering construction, renovation and infrastructure projects since 1918. Over the years, we have contributed to some of Denmark's most significant projects and developed the expertise that defines our work today.

The Knud Højgaard Employee Foundation helps support employee development and social activities across MT Højgaard Danmark.

The foundation was established in 1962 by civil engineer Knud Højgaard, one of the founders of Højgaard & Schultz – a company that later became part of MT Højgaard Danmark.

Each year, the foundation honours employees who have made a special contribution to the company and demonstrated strong collaboration skills. In addition, it supports education, training programmes and a wide range of social, cultural and sports-related activities for employees across the organisation.

With activities spanning new construction, renovation, transformation, civil engineering and infrastructure, we offer a wide range of career opportunities across different project types, disciplines and roles. 

Whether working with our own skilled craftsmen or managing specialist subcontractors, you will gain experience from a broad and diverse part of the construction industry.

Many of our colleagues build their careers across different projects, business areas and locations. Where you start does not necessarily determine where you will end up. As your ambitions develop and new opportunities presents, there may be opportunities to explore new roles and responsibilities within the organisation.

We offer a wide range of employee clubs and communities that bring colleagues together across projects, locations and professional disciplines. Strong relationships across the organisation not only strengthen our culture but also support collaboration in our everyday work.

Whether your interests include golf, padel, surfing, strength training, football, skiing or sauna sessions, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues who share your passions.

Our clubs are run by dedicated employees who organise activities and events throughout the year. We support these initiatives because we believe a strong social community is an important part of a great workplace. In addition, we regularly host social events such as Christmas parties and our annual summer celebration, which is a highlight for many of our colleagues.

Before you join, you will gain access to our onboarding portal, where you can meet your new colleagues, find practical information and complete our mandatory safety training before working projects.

During your first three months, you will follow a tailored onboarding programme designed to introduce you to our systems, culture and ways of working.

Introduction day

Shortly after your first day at work, you will be invited to an introduction day together with other new colleagues from across the organisation. It is an opportunity to build relationships, expand your network and get to know people from different parts of the business.
