Sofienlund Care Center

We are constructing a dementia-friendly care centre in Svendborg for FAB and Svendborg Municipality. The project comprises 48 homes organised into four residential clusters, as well as a dedicated activity centre.

In the new district of Tankefuld in Svendborg, we are constructing Sofielund Care Centre for FAB and Svendborg Municipality. The care centre will comprise 48 attractive one-bedroom care homes of 75 m², an activity centre and service facilities designed to create safe and homely surroundings for a healthy and meaningful senior life.

The project also includes private terraces, smaller courtyards and a large communal garden that provide opportunities for both community and privacy.

Light-filled building focused on safety, clarity and recognition

Sofielund Care Centre has been designed specifically for residents living with dementia, where safety, clarity and recognisable surroundings are key priorities. The building will feature bright and welcoming communal areas that encourage interaction between residents, relatives and staff, while also creating efficient and functional settings for daily care operations.

The facades will be clad in Thermowood and constructed without the use of harmful chemicals. Construction is scheduled to begin on 1 November, and the first residents are expected to move into Sofielund Care Centre in 2027.
