Renovation of Solbakken in Køge
MT Højgaard Denmark is renovating 220 homes for Køge Housing Association. Flats in the housing association's Solbakken II section will have their windows replaced, ventilation installed, and outdoor balconies added. Additionally, we will replace the roofs, raise the existing roof trusses, and re-insulate the gable walls.
The flats are spread over 11 three-storey residential blocks with a total area of 17,463 square metres. They are built between 1956 and 1964, and although the red bricks and tiles still look striking today, the flats are set to benefit greatly from this modernisation. As part of the project, 24 flats will be converted into accessible housing, and a community centre will be built to enhance the social environment in Solbakken II.
