From psychiatric hospital to modern housing
The hospital is classified as heritage-worthy, with parts of it being listed, leading to strict restrictions during execution. The new homes were therefore designed and built with great respect for the architecture and cultural-historical values of the area.
We preserved and reused existing materials and constructions wherever possible. Our execution process was carefully planned to protect the buildings and ensure that new materials matched the architectural qualities and original building techniques.
Our work on the heritage hospital primarily involved interior finishes and fittings. This included demolishing internal floors and walls, building new load-bearing walls, installing new main staircases, new floors, gypsum walls on wooden and steel frameworks, new bathrooms and kitchens, dormer windows, skylights, chimneys etc. Externally, the work included landscaping, facade doors, and dormer roofs.
